As anyone who has ever talked to me knows, driving to hollywood every day BY MY SELF "drives" me berserk! I hate the fact that I'm contributing to the congestion and the pollution out there.
To date, some of my plans to alleviate the problem have been on the...shall we say 'outlandish' side. The one that tickles me the most: stopping at bus stops and offering a ride to "safe" looking individuals (maybe a nice, young mom with a child?).
However, yesterday I finally put into action a more FEASIBLE solution!
BIKE/DRIVE
1. I stashed my bike in the backseat of my car. I can't fit a bike rack on my vehicle thanks to the spoiler, but I was thrilled to find out that putting the back seat down is as easy as pie.
2. I park in a lovely, all-day parking spot next to my awesome dance studio, Edge. Since most of my auditions and the rehearsals for the 7 Deadly Sins are within a couple of miles of each other, it makes a great central location from which to bike.
3. I bike the rest of the way.

Bike/Drive worked great yesterday. Ralphs, Trader Joes, about half a dozen casting offices and The Next Stage, where rehearsals for 7 Deadly take place are all an easy 10-to-20 min bike ride apart, so I was able to do SO MUCH! Plus, the experience of driving around Hollywood is INCREDIBLY better on a bike than in a car.
a) It's fun to be the cute model-type in a flirty pink hat biking along
